Brisbane FC, fresh from their 3-0 Premier League win over Rochedale Rovers, will be out to continue their recent form against Peninsula Power in tonight's Cup match at Carmichael Park.
In an added twist to the match the two Cup combatants, who are both in the top four, will meet again in a League match in 10 days back at FC Wolves headquarters.
FC Wolves coach Sam Saif (pictured) said it is likely the side for tonight's match will differ greatly from the squad that beat the previously unbeaten Rochedale at Underwood Park last Sunday.
''We have a couple of players to undergo late fitness checks, so the make-up of the squad is still up in the air,'' Saif said. ''I'll also be using this match as an opportunity to give match time to some of the reserves. They've done the job well in the previous rounds and I have faith in our depth.''
Saif said FC Wolves will be going all out to beat Peninsula Power and expects a tough encounter. The visitors have been in great form this season and are currently second to Rochedale on the League ladder.
''We're turning up to win, like we try and do in every game. However, I won't be risking players with injury, we're fourth on the League ladder and that has to take priority, so any player carrying an injury will be rested,'' Saif said.
