Brisbane FC coach Sam Saif expects a tough encounter when his side attempt to continue their solid form against North Pine at Bob Brock Park on Sunday.
FC Wolves have moved up the Brisbane Premier League ladder after recent good results and Saif is hoping for a spirited display against the third placed side.
FC Wolves are coming off a strong 3-1 win against Mitchelton last week, while North Pine were beaten 2-0 by competition leaders Rochedale Rovers.
''I've seen North Pine play a couple of times, they're good and a big physical side, with a couple of experienced players,'' Saif said. ''We'll be going there holding no fear and trying to spring a few surprises.
Saif is confident FC Wolves current good form will help them gain something from the match, but said the defence will have to tighten.
''We've lost two from our last seven, so we're heading in the right direction, but we've conceded some silly goals, so we'll be trying for more consistency at the back this week. If we play at our maximum we'll give them a run for their money and hopefully get something out of the game.''
Saif said a couple of players are nursing minor injuries, but expects to field the same squad as last week.
Brisbane FC Wolves v North Pine (Bob Brock Park) kick-off 6pm.
