Brisbane FC coach Sam Saif will rest many of the club's Premier League players for the Cup match against Grange Thistle at Carmichael Park on Saturday.

Saif will give his bench players valuable match time and also bring some Reserve and Youth team players into the squad.

''The League is more important than the Cup matches so all the main players will be rested. There's three or four guys that have been on the bench, who will get full games and I'll also bring some of the young boys in,'' Saif said.

FC Wolves next League match is an important one. They play bottom side Mitchelton and need to gain maximum points in Sunday week's Carmichael Park clash.

The side has performed well against stronger opposition, so taking points against lower placed sides is paramount for their goal of a mid-table finish.
