Brisbane FC paid the price for a couple of basic errors when they lost 3-2 against Mt Gravatt at Carmichael Park last Thursday.
FC Wolves coach Sam Saif said he was very disappointed to lose at home after being punished by the Hawks, who pounced on the mistakes by the home side.
''Two schoolboy errors cost us goals. We made two real bad mistakes and we were punished severely for them, that's the way things are going for us at the moment, but we'll turn it around,'' Saif said.
This was a rescheduled match between the sides. The previous game was abandoned after halftime when FC Wolves led the Hawks 1-0. Injured Hawks striker cameron Hunt was injured and could not be moved from the field of play.
''Like anything it's fate. We were all over them in the first game, it was called off and we come out and lose this one, it's always the way, but full credit to the Hawks for taking their chances.
''We have to look ahead to our next home game, which will be a tough one against Rochedale. Hopefully I'll have a couple of key players back in the squad from injury and the run of the ball might go our way for a change,'' Saif said.
Brisbane FC Wolves host Rochedale at Carmichael Park next Saturday (March 29). Kick-off is 7pm.
