Brisbane FC goalkeeping coach Jason Kearton will be part of an exciting tour for young goalkeepers and coaches later this year.Kearton who won an FA Cup medal with Everton in 1995, will join former Queensland keeper Graham Ross as tour leaders.
Ross and Kearton are passionate about helping young keepers make the next step. Ross is the Australian agency owner for a UK glove brand called SELLS, which is the glove of choice of Queensland Roar keepers Liam Reddy and Griffin McMaster. Ross, whose first tour of the UK was a huge success, will give youngsters from the age of 13-17 a chance to train at Premier League clubs with there Goalkeeper Coaches, clubs include Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City and Glasgow Rangers. The players also get to watch live Premier League games. ''The tour we offer is the only one of it's kind ever offered to Australian goalkeepers. My whole idea of the tour is to give young 'keepers an opportunity to train at some of the biggest clubs in the World.
''Also they will be looked at by the people who make the decisions on playing staff at these clubs. We have had great success with our first tour with a 16 year-old at Everton now for trials and a 14 year-old going back to Liverpool for trials also,'' Ross said.
