Brisbane FC Wolves coach Sam Saif is confident his side will be able to produce their 'running game' again when they meet Mt Gravatt in the rescheduled Premier League match at home on Thursday night.
Saif is looking forward to the first full appearance at Carmichael Park and encourages all supporters to turn up for the rescheduled round 2 match.
''I thought we played some terrific football last week. The application and work rate was there from all the players, it was first-class.
''Everything was positive from the last game including an early goal, but hopefully we can get a result in front of our home fans and get our first 3 points'' Saif said.
Saif has a lot of respect for Mt Gravatt, who finished just outside finals contention last year. The Hawks also lost their first round match (0-3 against Rochedale) and will be keen to bounce back, which should make for an entertaining match.
''We have a tough start to the season and I have the utmost respect for Mt Gravatt, they're one of four good sides we meet in the opening rounds,'' Saif said.
''After this match we play Rochedale on Saturday 29th at home, but if we perform as we have been we will have nothing to fear and can pick-up results against any team.''
FC Wolves may again be without Matty Lyell and Luke Fallini depending on late fitness checks.
The side will again be boosted by the return of midfielder Wade Davidson but Saif will delay naming his final squad after consultation with club Physio Bill Ingledew.
``At this stage it's not looking good for two of the boys. We only have a squad of 14 for the first team, so when you get injuries it tests your depth.
However, I couldn't have been happier with the way the players that stepped in performed last week, hopefully they can maintain that consistency and again show the coaching staff what they're capable of.''
