Brisbane FC Wolves have been decimated by injuries leading into their opening round Premier League clash with Pine Rivers at Wendy Allison Park tomorrow (Saturday) night.
Brisbane FC coach Sam Saif will await late fitness reports, but FC Wolves could start the match with at least five regular first team players sidelined.
Rivers, who made the top four last season, will be formidable opposition at home, but Saif is hopeful of salvaging something from the match.
''We're depleted at the moment, which is not the ideal way to start the season. However, it will open the door for other players and give them an opportunity to make the step up.
''We're definitely underdogs, Rivers are a quality side, especially at home. I want to win every game we play, but if we can get a positive result I would be happy.
''We've had a good pre-season, but injuries in the last 10 days have made things very difficult, but every team will face hurdles throughout the season,'' Saif said.
Brisbane FC Wolves v Pine Rivers, kick-off 7pm.
